Looking for a new family!

Hi! My name is Xerxes. I am a 4 year old 55 pound black lab/ Border Collie mix and have been with this family since I was 6 weeks old! They are moving and are sad that they can not take me with them. I am looking for a family that I can play with! I love to go on walks, play fetch, run at the beach and will lay at your feet while you work. I love people! I am used to being around a 3 year old and a 1 year old child and I am great with kids. Of course I have my shots up to date and am neutered. I know how to sit, lie down and shake hands. I do struggle with trying to resist digging in fresh dirt, and will get very excited when new people come to visit me. I make new friends very easily! I never run away from home, I want to be with my people. I can’t wait to come home with you!

So I noticed that I did TWICE as many pictures in 2009 then in 2010. But since I was preggo and then had a baby last year I think I can give myself a break. But this year i have NO such plans so will try to do better! :)

This is probably what you would see if you walked into our house, atty eating, Ariel playing nicely with a toy. Of course Atticus actually being still is rare. Missing pants is not so rare! :)

My Parents and siblings all made it down to visit us last weekend!

Xerxes was one happy dog! He actually got to leave the house and go on walks/to the beach!

We went to the beach on Friday, it was beautiful! Glad my family could get their beach fix!

Baby Ariel is here! She was born May 3rd at 2:35pm. She weighed 7lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long! She is beautiful and sweet! So much more dainty looking then her brother, who adores his "baby!" he Always checks on her when he comes in the room! My mom was down for almost a week to help us out, with a short visit from my dad and brother too! Sarah will down Thursday for a while too!

So we had a "dryer" incident... making a loud noise.. called the dryer Dr.. turns out Attys sock was caught in it somehow! Here is a pic of atty watching the fix it guy!

Those of you who have been so lucky as to visit us know that Atticus has his own chair! "attyschair" (he says it as one word). It can be out like a bed as in these pictures, or folded up as a couch.

I got our tree up yesterday! I love it!! I just shut off the lights and look and it. So peaceful. And then atticus tries to climb up on his rocking horse to get it. Oh well, its still pretty, even if it does need some protection! :D
Atty can say "tee" and often says "off" meaning he wants me to turn the Christmas lights ON. :D

Ryans Birthday Dinner!

Ryan turned a big 26 yesterday! And to celebrate his parents took us out to dinner!
This is us entertaining Atticus with lemon. He loves it! Learned that trick from my mom.

Whats going on in this picture? Well, atty is stuffing his mouth, nothing too uncommon, but follow his eyes...Thats right... he is helping grandpa eat his veggies! He couldn't eat them fast enough! They are good... sauteed in lots of butter... yumm.This is everyone happy at dinner...Now this picture is for Tara! Because we are all sad that she isnt there. Now you must understand that the spragues find it impossible to really frown. So they are all doing their best to look sad. And apparently atty deals with his grief by eating the table. Whatever works. hahaThis was one of the best pictures of the night. Grandpa and atty having a great time! (or trying to keep atty entertained...)

For those of you who don't know, grandma gail got this for atty at easter time. The kid has rediscovered a love for it, and lugs it around with him all the time. And make it play over and over...

This way he has both hands free while also holding the bunny... similar to how he will hold his ducky sometimes..."here mom.. you can hold the bunny! hes wonderful!!"

Walking after the ride... Atty looks pretty happy to be walking! Ryan was nice and slow as always... prefect atty pace. Although now, many months later, dad is to slow! :D"Oh no grandma, momma saw you give me this yummy strawberry treat! " :D

I loved the little performances and street shows that Disney does. You never know what you will run in to! This is the "cleaning crew" doing some drumming!

Atticus in the water (the resort pool kiddie pool)! he was still a little small, but he loved splashing around and Ryan also got a kick out of watching him!

Well Atty and I (and ryan for the last two days!) had a great visit to Wenatchee. Inga's wedding was wonderful. She was beautiful and beaming. And Atticus had a great time visiting the family.
Atty just would not smile for this pic! Atticus and pastor Floyd, who married us and dedicated atty just about a year ago!

We only spent one morning here, so if we ever get back to the world we will have some more exploring to do!Now, we went on the Safari ride, which was Ryans favorite by far. It was pretty neat. i got lots of pictures of animals... but noticed now that must of them are showing there, uh well rear end to the camera! And since i find a lot of animal pictures a little boring, here are just a sample!

Wow. I can't believe a whole year has gone by! What a wonderful blessing Atty is. And thank goodness he pretty much sleeps the night through instead of getting me up every two hours! :D

Here is where we ate lunch! Ryan and the Grandparents Loved it, just like I thought they would! Grandpa had like 5 ears of corn! lol!

Atticus was a bit tired... But he liked the tinkerbell that came with grandma's drink!Here is the skillet of food! When it got low the server would come refill it! There was also coleslaw and cornbread and extra bbq sauce, which really made the ribs goood!

This was a VERY hot day. Maybe our hottest? So i get a yummy looking cold Popsicle and let atty get a lick. Not very often I offer him anything with sugar, but it was hot out! Well, if you notice here, the smart little guy broke the top off and took it for himself! We were very messy after this, but Atticus sure enjoyed it! haha.Here is Atty and grandma getting a ride! Day 1!

So the first day we went to Disney's Hollywood studios!

But first here are some views of the resort that we stayed on, Caribbean beach resort. And here is a pic of the map of our resort. It was HUGE!Grandma and granpa at the bus stop talking to atty!First thing we did was buy Atty this hat... we lost in with in an hour because he didnt like it on

! We bought another to keep as a keepsake. Ryan later bought a mickey mouse ear hat that he keep trying to get Atticus to wear. I don't think we have any happy pictures that involve hats! lol.

Right when we came in they were handing out flowers to mothers! Yeah my first mother day flowers!

We are back! It was a wonderful "magical" trip! Ihave around 500 pics to go through! But here are some of our trip there!

Atticus playing in the eugene airport on the way there! That was a cute little thing! Our plane left at 6:45. And we had a small scare... we had left atty's Ducky at the hotel! (as many of you know, this is his fav little stuffed animal that helps him sleep.) But we called the hotel and they came and drove it to us just in time! That would of been awful to have ot be without it!!!

Here is little atty eating snacks at my feat on the plane! We had one flight from eugene to seattle for about an hr, and then a 4.5 hr from seattle to Orlando! Atty did pretty good, even slept and hr or so on grandpa's and then later my lap!

Sarah blessed us with her presence last week! It was really nice to have her down here. She also did help with some cleaning and cooking! (check out her facebook pic for proof!) I was SO excited when I found a Mickey and Minnie shirt at the mall on Saturday! And on sale for only $5 (at wet seal, a store i have never been in before) I was so happy! So I got Ryan to snap a pic of me, I have it against the white wall on the bed, because it is one of the only clean spots in our house!

And Here is my Disney binder! I love it! I am NOT a very organized person in general. Or at all. But I am so excited, it gives me something to do that gets me a little closer to Disney World!

A weekend with no Ryan

So we went to Eugene! With the Grandparents! We were all so impressed with Atticus. He took a nap on the way there, and as long as we kept moving he was really pretty good! Yeah! :) That bidded well for Atty in Disney World in two months!

Grandpa would push him for hours, lol. He is really a happy baby, he likes to be moving! And he would do that face for anyone who would say hi to him! Its pretty funny.

Disney World on the brain...

So Yes, I can't stop thinking about our Disney World trip! It is what gets me through these many RAINY days. (Okay that and my chocolate stash) And yes the rumors are true, i do have a binder dedicated to my Disney trip, and it is beautiful. lol. Maybe i will get some pics up of that soon. But Since I was thinking about Disney stuff, i thought I would post some pics from our Disneyland trip, about 2 years ago.Its a small world... yet such a big building! :)

DisneyWorld Countdown!

Okay, so I dont know exactly how many days, buts its still exciting. We are going in the beginning of May, But don't worry Sarah, we changed the dates so we could still go see you graduate. The sacrifices i make for you! :)

And I have been so excited planning/dreaming of my trip, i have spent a lot of time on the Disney world website. I found this Moms forum, which has a lot of good info. Sunday night great grandpa and grandma Rouse watched Atty, and we went on a little date! Using a DQ gift card from my grandparents (thanks!) we got two hamburgers and two sundaes and went off to the beach!

It was pretty and the sun was setting (and it is Sunset Beach after all!). But it was rather chilly, esp with the wind, and it was just so crazy to see those people in the water! I couldn't get over that skinny little boy standing there in the waves. crazy.

A side note, I did manage to fracture my left arm on Thursday night. So yes I have mastered typing with one hand.

It is now in a sling and should be better in about 6 weeks.

Atticus doesn't tend to laugh much... or at least we hardly catch it on camera! So when he just randomly started laughing to a noise I was making yesterday afternoon, I had to catch it and share it with all of you!

Wenatchee Trip!

We got back from our 4 day trip to wenatchee for 1st! We had two very long car trips, with the dog and baby! I was so impressed with how well Xerxes did! He even did pretty well at my folks home, although the poor cat was in hiding except at night when we kept Xerxes in our room!

We had a good time with family and some old friends. It was great to see people.

Xeerxes had a lot of fun in the snow! He was just happy to be outside with everyone. He never stoped moving :)

Atty like to hold on to Xerxes leash in the car. One time when i went to let the dog out, I opened the door, and he didn't even move because Atticus had such a tight grip on the leash!
